You, or someone you care about, have just been arrested for a DWI…
What now?
A North Carolina DWI (also known as DUI) Substance Abuse Assessment is required by law for anyone convicted of a DWI in North Carolina.
Getting a DWI or DUI assessment prior to court is a mitigating factor at the trial and could lessen the level of punishment you receive. Enrolling in the recommended treatment before court may also be an advantage at the trial. Many attorneys are now recommending that you enroll at the time of your assessment. Consult your attorney for advice on this.
Substance abuse treatment is required of everyone convicted of Driving While Impaired.
Twin City Counseling Center provides a caring and confidential environment and comprehensive substance abuse services designed to help and evaluate individuals in need of counseling and substance abuse treatment.
It is recommended that you also contact a North Carolina drunk driving defense attorney to help assist you prior to your assigned court date.
To schedule an appointment, call 336.722.9592. You can pay by check, cash, credit or debit card, or money order. The state of NC requires that A DWI or DUI provider charge $100 for the DWI or DUI Assessment.
We sincerely look forward to assisting you.
